Plot Summary

The story of a disillusioned young woman who, in the middle of the 19th century, escapes a poor and deprived childhood by finding freedom "granting her grace" to rich lovers captivated by her extraordinary beauty. Violetta is a kept woman. She does not know true love, the kind that makes the heart beat faster, but only fleeting, mercenary loves that, on the contrary, harden the soul.
